Minority Affairs Community (MAC)

The Minority Affairs Community promotes activities that encourage the education and training of underrepresented communities in engineering and related disciplines; fosters the employment of minorities at all levels of skills within the engineering field; encourages minority entrepreneurship; and directs the expertise of engineers to the solution of special social and economic problems.

We stand together in opposition to racism, bigotry, inequality and injustice in all its forms!

The Minority Affairs Community serves as a clearinghouse for information on programs, meetings, and contacts involving ethnic minorities where AIChE could, or might, be able to make a contribution to this societal problem area.

MAC has been a wonderful source of support throughout my career. From travel support as a graduate student, to networking and career development opportunities, and poster and oral sessions for students, professionals and academics. I am excited about MAC鈥檚 ability to expand support and opportunities to AIChE members in alignment with the institute鈥檚 IDEAL path to equity, diversity and inclusion.
