AIChE Revises Statement on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
AIChE has released a new statement on equity, diversity, and inclusion, refining a statement issued in 2020. The document is the result of an Institute-wide discussion that incorporated views from members of AIChE鈥檚 operating councils and the Board of Directors. The latest iterations replace a statement issued in 2015.
The statement articulates AIChE鈥檚 belief that all who wish to be a part of the chemical engineering community should have equal opportunity to pursue and achieve success. It proposes an 鈥淚DEAL鈥� path for progress, in an environment characterized by inclusion, diversity, equity, anti-racism, and learning.
