Scientists and engineers in chemicals and advanced materials industries are some of the most prolific inventors and innovators in all technology businesses. But before innovations can command significant corporate or other support, proposed projects must be assessed as to their viability and impact in their intended application and its competitive environment. This presentation will describe the Technology/Business Assessment process in the chemical industry, what is required in an analysis, and sources of information and support. The seminar will also outline key aspects that must be presented to management and investors in order to gain their commitment.
