Stephanie Schlea will give an overview of the federal efforts to address PFAS contamination with a focus on EPA鈥檚 upcoming national primary drinking water regulation for six PFAS. Insights will be provided into what this new regulation might mean for the current patchwork of state regulations and those states that have yet to set any drinking water standards. Additionally, attendees will learn about the competing priorities for state staff resources and the intricacies of federal funding for PFAS treatment as we look to tackle these chemical substances in 2024 and beyond.
