Typically an intensified process offers substantial benefit in terms of lower capital cost, improved energy efficiency, reduced waste production, faster project implementation, increased flexibility of assets and greater reliability of the overall manufacturing system. The net result is greater value with less project risk. Overall the barrier of entry to both new and existing markets is reduced which translates to benefit for the entire industrial enterprise beyond the engineering and operation functions.
