Mid-Michigan AICHE Seminar Series Kick-off!
Please join us for:
Engineering Ethics: A Clash of Fundamental Principles
Presented by:
Jeffrey Koperski
From Saginaw Valley State University
This exciting seminar will dive into the world of ethical disagreements.
Some conflicts in engineering are driven by a tension between fundamental ethical principles.
While these principles often agree about which choices are ethically permissible, it is when they disagree that things get interesting.
Jeffrey Koperski is a professor of philosophy at Saginaw Valley State University.
He has a Ph.D. (Philosophy) from Ohio State University and a B.E.E. (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Dayton.
While most of his early work focused on philosophical issues in physics, his more recent publications deal with issues at the intersection of philosophy, science, and religion.
He has been teaching a course on engineering and computer ethics at SVSU for over twenty years.
Date: Tuesday, October 8th (10/8/2019)
Time: 11:30 – 1:00pm
Location: Grand Traverse Pie Company
There will be variety of sandwiches for lunch while you expand your engineering ethics and challenge your views!
