5:30 – 5:45: Timeframe for guest arrival

5:45 – 6:15: Facility overview presentation

6:15 – 7:30: Facility tour

7:30 – 9:00: Dinner at Hangar 9 in Lock Haven @ member’s expense

(If you can, please bring a hard hat, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes with you as PPE on site is limited.  If anyone has any extra safety equipment they can also bring for others please do so.)

The WSP Solvay site in Lock Haven is a specialty chemical manufacturer in Solvay’s Novecare division that produces water soluble polymers for several markets.  These include inverse emulsions used as friction reducers in oil field applications, conformance control products used in oil field applications, conditioning aids for shampoo, shower gels, and body wash, cement set retarders, water control polymers, and fluid loss additives for oil field applications.  The largest market supported by the site’s products is the oil and gas industry.
