Tour: Graymont
Graymont is one of the leading suppliers of lime in the northeastern United States. The Pleasant Gap plant is the most modern lime plant in the region, with a 1,200 ton per day rotary preheater lime kiln (2005), a 1,050 ton per day rotary lime kiln (2008), and a new lime hydrating plant (2005). The newest lime kiln incorporates a highly efficient emissions scrubbing system along with power generation from a waste heat recovery system. The waste heat recovery and power generation system is the only one of its kind on a lime kiln in North America. Pleasant Gap also provides bulk product storage capacity and a multi-mode shipping capability that assures when Graymont customers place an order, it will be quickly shipped by rail or truck.

Special Requirements: Visitor personal protective equipment is very limited. Please wear steel toed shoes and bring a hard hat and safety glasses with you if you have them.
Students pay only half price for the meal (the AIChE Local Section pays half).
