Will Sharpe currently leads the consulting business in Canada for Kent, having previously led their process safety group across North America. Graduating from Newcastle Univ. with a master鈥檚 degree in chemical engineering, Sharpe began his professional career with Atkins, an engineering and consultancy firm in Epsom, UK. With Atkins, he transferred to Calgary, Canada, and began developing his leadership skills in both process hazard analysis (PHA) and team development. Through Kent鈥檚 acquisition of Atkins鈥� Oil and Gas business, Sharpe鈥檚 main focus is now growing Kent鈥檚 consulting business in Canada as they help their clients transition toward net zero in a safe, reliable, and secure manner. Working across a range of high-hazard industries such as oil and gas, rail, nuclear, and now emerging technologies like low-carbon-intensity hydrogen production and advanced carbon capture, he has an acute understanding of hazard awareness and process safety management. Sharpe is registered as a Chartered Engineer with IChemE and as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
