He is a chemical engineer with 47 years of experience in process design, operations management, cost estimating, and plant layout 鈥� with specific expertise in equipment design, including distillation, heat transfer, fluid flow, and process control. Schafer holds a BS and MS, both in chemical engineering, from Manhattan College.
