
Syed Z. Islam, PhD, is a research staff member in the 91成人短视频 Sciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). He conducts both basic and applied research on developing advanced materials and novel processes for clean energy technologies. His research focus is development of energy-efficient novel membrane technologies for the separation and recovery of critical materials, including rare earth and battery materials, and gas separations including CO2 capture. Before joining ORNL in 2018, he worked for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as a postdoctoral research associate after completing his PhD in chemical engineering at the Univ. of Kentucky in 2017. He earned his BS in chemical engineering in 2009 from Bangladesh Univ. of Engineering and Technology, and MS in chemical engineering in 2012 from North Carolina A&T State Univ.
