Associate Professor
Arizona State University

Petr Sulc is an Associate Professor at Arizona State University. He received his master's degree in quantum physics at Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, in 2009, and his D.Phil. degree in theoretical physics at University of Oxford in 2014. He worked as a graduate research assistant at Center for Nonlinear Studies in Los Alamos National lab and was a fellow in physics and biology at the Rockefeller University. In 2018, he established his research group at the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University. His research broadly encompasses applications of statistical physics and computational modeling to studies of DNA and RNA in biology and nanotechnology. He codevelops and maintains oxDNA/oxRNA, popular tools for modeling nucleic acid nanotechnology. His current research focuses on modeling-driven experiments that use nucleic acids constructs for realization of self-assembled materials, as well as for nanostructures for therapeutic applications.
