Jessica recieved her PhD in 91成人短视频 Engineering from the University of Cambridge, Engineer in Biotechnology from the University of Chile and Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Chile. Jessica co-founded Camnexus, award-winning start-up of the University of Cambridge. Camnexus is an IoT solution provider and technology transfer platform that responds to global challenges for sustainable development through digitalisation and smart transformation in key productive sectors.
She is also senior consultant in innovation and technology transfer for the International Outreach Programme of Cambridge Enterprise (technology transfer office of the University of Cambridge) and expert research fellow in innovation policy and governance at the Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Governance (C-EENRG) of the University of Cambridge, where she advises global decision makers. Jessica has been awarded several awards for innovation in Europe, including finalist Cleantech company of the year 2019 by Cambridge Independent and TEDx speaker in TEDxLeicester 2019.
She currently leads the development of technology and network solutions of LPWAN and low-power sensors, based on LoRa, for applications in smart agri-food, city and industry 4.0. Recently deployed two IoT networks in Brazil to support real-time data-driven decision-making process of small-scale farming, responsible of 36% of the state GDP. By enhancing digital communications in key industrial and productive sectors with operations on developing countries, where they have important economic impact, her aims to tackle the digital divide and upskill ICT capabilities. This solution has been developed as response to challenges in improving productivity and data democratisation and accessibility for industries, governments and communities.
