Gregg T. Beckham, PhD, is a Senior Research Fellow at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and CEO of The Bottle Consortium (Email: gregg.beckham@nrel.gov, Website: ). His research focuses on biological and chemical processes for plastics deconstruction, upcycling, and redesign; lignin valorization; metabolic engineering and bioprocess development; and chemical catalysis for polymer deconstruction. He was the 2018 winner of the Beilby Medal and Prize from the Royal Society of Chemistry. He has a BS from Oklahoma State Univ. and a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, both in chemical engineering.
