
As Director of Technology Relations & Innovation at ICM, Inc., Dr. Doug Rivers has 40 years of experience in the bioprocess industry and leads ICM’s efforts to develop innovative technology and transition it to sustainable commercial operations capable of producing feed, fuel, and chemicals from both grain and cellulosic feedstocks. He is responsible for identifying new technologies and collaborative opportunities for development in ICM’s laboratory and pilot plant operations located in St. Joseph, Missouri. Prior to joining ICM, Doug was responsible for a variety of successful development, scale-up and commercialization efforts, including starch and cellulose conversion to ethanol and bio-based product supporting sustainable agriculture. His B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees are in microbiology with emphasis in enzymes and fermentation.
