While serving as manager of technical support for CHEMCAD he has developed the alliance with Azbil to combine process simulation models with advanced process controls. Chemstations and Azbil are currently expanding the use of commercial process simulators into controls projects, developing first principles models as an alternative to the black box, statistical, custom code, or LP models that are traditionally used by controls and optimization groups.
