
Bruce Lawler is a technology entrepreneur with multiple consecutive exits and executive leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, telecommunications, manufacturing, private equity and venture capital. As Managing Director of the MIT Machine Intelligence for Manufacturing and Operations (MIT MIMO), Bruce drives research and education in AI for industrial applications. He also led digital and AI innovation in private equity at Re:Build Manufacturing, focusing on revitalizing American industry. He founded venture capital firm inOvate Communication Group and invested with leading VC firms like Accel, CRV, KPCB, Redpoint, Sequoia, and Softbank. His entrepreneurial journey includes the founding and IPO of iBeam Broadcasting and the founding of Kodiak Networks, leading it to a successful acquisition by Motorola Solutions. Bruce holds dual Master鈥檚 degrees in Engineering and Business Administration from MIT and the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Engineering from Purdue University. He holds five patents, teaches AI courses at UCSD and MIT, and is published in numerous academic and business publications, such as IEEE Transactions and Harvard Business Review. He has extensive public speaking experience, including Harvard Law School, McKinsey & Company, and the Brookings Institution.
