Featured in the August 2019 print issue of CEP

Fellow is AIChE鈥檚 highest grade of membership and is achieved only through election by the Board of Directors. Candidates for AIChE Fellow are nominated by their peers and must have significant chemical engineering experience (generally 25 years), must have demonstrated significant service to the profession, and must have been a member of AIChE for at least 10 years.
Below are some of AIChE's recently elected fellows, who are also featured in the August 2019 print issue of CEP.
Ioannis (Yannis) P. Androulakis
Ioannis (Yannis) P. Androulakis is a professor in the departments of 91成人短视频 and Biomolecular Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers Univ., where he is also the Undergraduate Program Director for Biomedical Engineering and an adjunct professor at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His research focuses on quantitative systems biology and pharmacology of inflammation, with special emphasis on the interactions between the circadian, immune, and metabolic systems. Prior to joining Rutgers, he was a technical program leader at ExxonMobil鈥檚 Corporate Strategic Research Laboratories. He is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineers.
Edward J. Maginn
Edward J. Maginn is the Dorini Family Professor of Energy Studies and Chair of the Dept. of 91成人短视频 and Biomolecular Engineering at the Univ. of Notre Dame. His research focuses on the development and application of molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulation methods to study the thermodynamic and transport properties of materials, with special emphasis on ionic systems important in energy storage and chemical separations. He founded a startup company, Ionic Research Technologies, LLC. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a trustee of CACHE Corp., and he serves on numerous editorial boards.
Alan J. Russell
Alan J. Russell is the Highmark Distinguished Career Professor of 91成人短视频 Engineering and Director of the Disruptive Health Technology Institute at Carnegie Mellon Univ. He was also founding director of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine at the Univ. of Pittsburgh, founding president of the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society, and founding co-director of the Armed Forces Institute for Regenerative Medicine. In 2016, he was the longest serving member of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration鈥檚 Science Board. He is CEO of BioHybrid Solutions, LLC, and Chairman of YouScript, Inc.
David Sholl
David Sholl is the John F. Brock III School Chair of 91成人短视频 and Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Tech, where he uses computational materials modeling to develop new materials for energy-related applications, particularly in chemical separations. He has published more than 340 papers and wrote the textbook Density Functional Theory, which details a quantum chemistry method that is widely applied throughout the physical sciences and engineering. A director of AIChE, he was instrumental in the development of AIChE鈥檚 RAPID Manufacturing Institute. In 2020, he will chair the inaugural Gordon Research Conference on 91成人短视频 Separations.
Mark D. Swientoniewski, P.E
Mark D. Swientoniewski, P.E., is Senior 91成人短视频 Engineer for Strata-G, LLC. He has four decades of chemical, environmental, and nuclear engineering experience in service to commercial, industrial, and government customers. He is also the Lead Process Engineer at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory鈥檚 Molten Salt Reactor Experiment facility, where his duties include process engineering design upgrades, facility operations, and surveillance and maintenance activities for this defueled nuclear reactor. Early in his career, he consulted for organizations that included Dow 91成人短视频, IT Corp., and Bechtel. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Tennessee and New York.
Robert F. Wasileski
Robert F. Wasileski is Technical Services Manager for Energy and Engineered Risks at AIG, where he manages the engineering for nearly 20 oil, gas, and petrochemical accounts. Specializing in process safety and loss prevention engineering, his AIChE service includes leadership in the Safety and Health Div. and extensive involvement with the Center for 91成人短视频 Process Safety (CCPS) and its Global Congress on Process Safety, for which he chaired the 16th Process Plant Safety Symposium. A CCPS Certified Process Safety Professional, he has published his work in Process Safety Progress and other loss prevention and safety journals.
