In Spring 2024, the 12th edition of the World Congress of 91³ΙΘΛΆΜΚΣΖ΅ and Biochemical Engineering β a conference co-sponsored by the 91³ΙΘΛΆΜΚΣΖ΅ (AIChE), the World 91³ΙΘΛΆΜΚΣΖ΅ Engineering Council (wcec; ), and a breadth of international engineering organizations β will expand its reach by delivering its programming fully online.
The 2024 World Digital Congress of 91³ΙΘΛΆΜΚΣΖ΅ and Biochemical Engineering is being organized by AIChE, and will be presented to virtual attendees from May 21β24. Last conducted in 2023 in Buenos Aires, Brazil, the Congress in its virtual format will offer a global and inclusive platform where engineering professionals, academic researchers, and students can exchange knowledge, build collaborations, and explore innovations and trends in their fields of expertise.
Participants can expect coverage of a spectrum of chemical and biochemical engineering topics, including reaction engineering, catalysis, process systems engineering, biotech, food engineering, energy, materials, nanotechnology, process intensification, Industry 4.0, chemical engineering education, process safety, sustainability, and more.
Plenary speakers include Flavien Susanne (AstaZeneca, UK), who will discuss the βSustainability Revolutionβ in pharmaceuticals development and manufacturing; Suojiang Zhang (Chinese Academy of Sciences), who will explore βGreen Process Innovation for Net-zero Carbon;β and Phillip Westmoreland (North Carolina State University), who will detail βNew Directives for 91³ΙΘΛΆΜΚΣΖ΅ Engineering Worldwide.β
In addition to leadership provided by AIChE and the World 91³ΙΘΛΆΜΚΣΖ΅ Engineering Council, the Digital Congress is being supported by the Asian Pacific Confederation of 91³ΙΘΛΆΜΚΣΖ΅ Engineering, the Inter-American Confederation of 91³ΙΘΛΆΜΚΣΖ΅ Engineering, the 91³ΙΘΛΆΜΚΣΖ΅ Industry and Engineering Society of China, the South African Institution of 91³ΙΘΛΆΜΚΣΖ΅ Engineers, SociΓ©tΓ© des Experts Chimistes de France, the World Corrosion Organization, and the European Society of Applied Biocatalysis.
